About the Composer...

Jesse Dreyer is a composer working in the film and art music industries. Her music education spanning over 20 years included a master’s in music composition at Stellenbosch University, in which she explored a grounded theory study mapping composers’ experiences of film score composition processes in South Africa. This tutelage was enriched by masterclasses from prominent composers such as Martijn Padding, Andile Khumalo, Paul Hanmer and Kevin Volans, as well as the performance of several compositions by local and international musicians since 2015.

She is currently a co-founder and director at Stonebed.io, a South African based music library aiming to bring local composers’ work to a global audience of film makers, videographers, and content creators.
