List of Works

Cavallia a solo electro-dance concerto for saxophone and unrealistic instruments (2008)

Instrumentation: Saxophone and electronics

Duration: 16:00

Premier information: Performed in Erin Hall 2021.

Programmatic information: This work was originally for piano and saxophone, but it later included textures and rhythmic opportunities through the use of EDM (electronic dance music).

Note from composer: “A mechanical, maniacal horse fashioned in the deepest pits of hell escapes its captors. It falls into the bottom of the River Styx where it lies for 3000 years. A mermaid casts a spell and reanimates it. As its demon captors return to restrain it, the horse kicks free and escapes into the human world. This is the inspiration behind my composition Cavallia, a solo atonal electro-dance concerto for saxophone and unrealistic instruments.”
