The piece is dedicated to the Stockholm Saxophone Quartet. It is a story about two brothers from a small village in the northern districts of South Africa, who have to partake in the annual bare knuckle fighting contests. The piece captures the complex emotions that these two brothers feel when they are made to fight each other as well as the conflicting love and pride they have for each other and for their culture.
